“I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.

Blanche DuBois, from A Streetcar Named Desire

We also depend on the kindness of strangers…and even more so from our amazing community members! – BTAC

Just like you, BTAC has bills that need to be paid every month.  We keep our operating costs low– thank goodness for our amazing volunteers! – but we still need to pay the mortgage, gas up the van so we can pick up food donations, pay utilities, etc.  Monetary donations are always needed and so very much appreciated!  Would you consider a donation today or perhaps even a monthly contribution?

November 2023: A HUGE ‘thank you’ to our friends at the Burbank Police Department and the Burbank Police Officers Association. In celebration of BTAC Month, they presented us with $2,000 to help with holiday needs!

June 7, 2023. Logix Credit Union set a record for most employees in a check presentation photo! Through the Logix Community Stars Foundation, BTAC received a portion of the $100,000 shared with five local non-profits. Logix staff members continue to give back to the community in meaningful ways, including payroll deductions and volunteerism. We are happy to be a recipient and part of the Logix family!
April 10, 2023: BTAC Board Member Jeanette Meyer and BTAC’s Barbara Howell cheerfully accept a very generous grant from Providence Health Systems! We are so grateful for the support!!
March 30, 2023 – Carolyn English of the Burbank Y Service Club presents a hefty check to Barbara Howell, BTAC Executive Director, and BTAC Board Members Roger Koll and Jeanette Meyer. Thank you, Carolyn!!!!

February 4, 2023: THANK YOU to Dunkin’ for the sweet donation! Congratulations on your newest Burbank location.

Darryl Lynn Forbes, who passed away on December 22, 2022, was a BTAC Board member for nearly 20 years and a constant friend to BTAC since our founding in 1974. Quoting from Darryl’s family: “Never wanting to be the center of attention, Darryl requested that there be no memorial service or event to celebrate his life, just a private scattering of his ashes ‘some place pretty and with a view.’ Those wishing to remember Darryl are asked to make a donation in his memory to the Burbank Temporary Aid Center.” Thank you, Darryl, for everything.

December 22, 2022. The wonderful people of BWP’s International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) made a HEFTY donation to BTAC today! THANK YOU so much to the entire IBEW membership, but special thanks to these merry elves who delivered the check: Cole Hazelwood (far left), Kristof Kardos, and Frank Diliberto (shown with BTAC Board Chair Jeanette Meyer and Executive Director Barbara Howell).

Oh. My. Goodness!!!! THANK YOU to Logix for their incredibly generous donation to BTAC!

Thank you to Laurie Harmon & Michelle Hacking of Yellow Jacket Nation for the fabulous donation!

A very happy Barbara Howell with a VERY generous donation from The Road Kings!

Burbank Y Service Club‘s Carolyn English and Roger Koll (who is also a BTAC Board member!) generously support BTAC. Thank you!

Frank Diliberto provides BTAC with a donation from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Thank you, IBEW!

Hey!  Does your employer match donations?  Not many people who generously donate to organizations like BTAC know about matching gifts from their employers, which means lots of money in matching gift funds that go unclaimed each year.  Please help your gift to us go even further by asking your employer if they will match your donation!

And, can we be so bold as to ask that you remember BTAC in your Will or Family Trust? Ask your financial advisor for advice on planned giving, then contact BTAC’s Executive Director, Barbara Howell at bhowell@theBTAC.org or (818) 848-2822, ext. 1010.  Thank you!

Consider adding BTAC to your Will or Family Trust!
